Kaziranga National Park Sees Surge in Tourist Influx Following Advantage Assam Summit

The last ten days have seen a notable spike in tourist arrivals, further reinforcing the park’s growing popularity.

Kaziranga National Park in Assam is witnessing a significant surge in tourist inflow, setting new records with each passing season.

The recent Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment Summit, hosted by the Himanta Biswa Sarma government, has played a crucial role in boosting tourism to this world-renowned wildlife sanctuary.

According to Kaziranga National Park Director Sonali Ghosh, the park has already welcomed around 2.65 lakh visitors in the past months, with expectations of surpassing last year’s total of 3 lakh tourists. She expressed optimism about achieving a record-breaking turnout by the end of the season.

The last ten days have seen a notable spike in tourist arrivals, further reinforcing the park’s growing popularity. Over the past five months, more than 2 lakh visitors have explored Kaziranga, including approximately 11,000 foreign tourists. With two and a half months remaining in the current tourist season, officials anticipate surpassing previous records.

Kaziranga’s rich biodiversity and conservation success stories continue to attract nature enthusiasts worldwide. The park’s increasing footfall underscores its global appeal, further cementing its status as a premier wildlife destination in India.
