K-Pop star Park Bo Bam passes away at 30

In a shocking news for all K-Pop fans, South Korean singing star Park Bo Ram, known for her soulful vocals and contributions to iconic K-drama soundtracks, passed away at the age of 30 on Thursday leaving her fans devastated.

The news of her death was confirmed by her agency, Xanadu Entertainment in a statement saying “Park Bo Ram suddenly passed away late at night on April 11. All of the artists and executives at XANADU Entertainment are deeply mourning the deceased with great sadness. It is even more heartbreaking that we have to tell you this sudden news to all of the fans who support Park Bo Ram” adding the cause of the singer’s unfortunate demise is currently being investigated as it remains undisclosed yet.

Park Bo Ram was reportedly at a private gathering where she was drinking with two of her friends just hours before her death, according to the investigations of Namyangju Police Station.

According to sources, she went to the restroom at 9:55 p.m, and did not return. Concerned, her friends went to check on her and found her “slouched over the sink, unconscious”.

Impressing audiences with her talent in the singing competition, Super Star K2, sensational singing star Park Bo Ram stepped into the spotlight at the age of 17 in 2010.While she made her debut in the K-pop music industry in 2014 with her single “Beautiful” which featured rapper Zico, in the same year, the singer also won the Artist of the Year award at Goan Chart Music Awards.


In a career that spanned over 10 years, Bo-ram collaborated with several K-pop artists including Eric Nam, Park Kyung, Parc Jae Jung, Lil Boi and Huh Gak. Ms Bo Ram was known for her vocals and unforgettable songs like as “Hyehwadong (Or Ssangmundong)” for Reply 1988 and “Please Say Something, Even Though It Is a Lie” for W – Two Worlds.

According to reports, the actor was working on a special album to commemorate her 10th anniversary in the K-pop industry.
