Justice Arup Kumar Goswami was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Sikkim High Court in a swearing in ceremony held at Raj Bhawan on Tuesday.
Governor of Sikkim Ganga Prasad administered the oath of office to Justice Arup Kumar Goswami.
Justice Goswami was the Acting Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court and was proposed to be elevated as Sikkim’s Chief Justice by the Supreme Court Collegium on August 22.
Goswami has been appointed after the retirement of the former Chief Justice VK Bist.
