Jihadi menace in Assam: Mufti Mustafa’s brother, wife in police net

As per fresh inputs, the NIA team along with the SB rigoroulsy drilled the 8 teachers of an all-girl Madrassa until late last night.

The Morigaon Police arrested the brother and wife of Mufti Mustafa, Asmina Khatun, and Jakaria Ahmed this morning.

Mufti Mustafa was arrested on Thursday from the Jamiul-Huda Madarassa which has been sealed. A terror module had allegedly been operating from the Madrassa, with the involvement of Mufti Mustafa who is in police custody.

The police, meanwhile, are interrogating Mufti Mustafa’s wife and brother.

The NIA team which is in Morigaon to probe the Jihadi terror network in Assam has intensified its operations. As per fresh inputs, the NIA team along with the SB rigoroulsy drilled the 8 teachers of an all-girl Madrassa until late last night.

The teachers who were reportedly let off after the interrogation will be called today again for more questioning.

Besides, special DGP Law and Order GP Singh will also be arriving in Morigaon today, and will likely visit the sealed Madrassas.

Worth mentioning here, that about ten accused of running and facilitating terror modules have been kept in custody at the Morigaon SP office. Among them are eight teachers of the sealed Jamiul Huda madrassa in Moirabari.
