Jammu and Kashmir erupts in violence amidst Eid festivities

While the rest of the country is celebrating Eid with much merriment and high spirits, violence in Srinagar city marred the celebrations of Eid-Al-Adha in Jammu and Kashmir today. Stone-pelters

While the rest of the country is celebrating Eid with much merriment and high spirits, violence in Srinagar city marred the celebrations of Eid-Al-Adha in Jammu and Kashmir today.

Stone-pelters took to the streets, waved flags of both Pakistan and terrorist outfit Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

Peace was disrupted as demonstrators raised pro-ISIS slogans and clashed with police personnel in Srinagar’s Eidgah area.

In another incident, a policeman was shot dead by terrorists outside an Eidgah in Kulgam’s Zazripora. The victim was shot when he was leaving after offering prayers.
