Multinational conglomerate company ITC has come forward to set up an oxygen generating plant in Assam amid the deadly second wave of COVID-19. This was informed by Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma via his Twitter account on Tuesday.
To help mitigate the current crisis arising out of the pandemic situation, the company under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative will install an oxygen plant costing Rs 143.37 lakhs.

The initiative comes in the wake of an acute shortage of oxygen supply across the country, limiting the healthcare system’s ability to provide necessary medical support to patients.
