The Itanagar district administration have geared up to fight the devastation caused during the monsoon season this year. The district administration has decided to restrict vehicular movement on the Itanagar
The Itanagar district administration have geared up to fight the devastation caused during the monsoon season this year.
The district administration has decided to restrict vehicular movement on the Itanagar to Naharlagun route from 8 pm till 6 am everyday due to the ongoing road construction work on the National Highway stretch 415.
Deputy Commissioner Himangshu Gupta informed that fishing and picnicking near riverine areas have been banned till September to avoid cases like drowning. Earth cutting has also been completely banned by the district administration, due to imminent risk of landslides.
The steps have been taken up by the Itanagar district administration as part of its pre-monsoon safety measures.
