The Journey of Prem Ningombam has been nothing short of a fairy tale. The Thoubal boy’s spirit of innovation caught the attention of netizens for his ingenious Iron Man suit made from scraps and stationery prompting business tycoon Anand Mahindra to take notice. Although belonging to Thoubal, he is popularly known as Ironman from Imphal for his suit.
Mahindra back in September this year assured him help to pursue his dreams and said in a tweet that Mahindra Group’s Chief Design Officer would mentor the career and education for Prem.
On November 16, taking to Twitter, Anand Mahindra said that Prem has reached Hyderabad to receive his engineering education from Mahindra University and also promised to take care of his education and his siblings the way Prem wanted.
“Remember Prem, our young Indian Ironman from Imphal? We promised to help him get the engineering education he wanted and I’m delighted to share that he has arrived at @MahindraUni in Hyderabad. Thank you Indigo for taking such good care of him.”

The business tycoon also appreciated Indigo airlines for facilitating Prem’s journey to Hyderabad where the Manipur lad will try to give wings to his dreams.
Moreover, before boarding for Hyderabad, Prem took to Instagram and wrote, “Good news everyone respected Sir #AnandMahindra giving me sponsorship for studying mechanical engineering at the Mahindra University, Hyderabad. Many thanks to sir #AnandMahindra for your support and kindness ???????? and also his #mahindrafoundation group #sheetalmehta Their foundation provide me everything what I need???????? and take care of me as well. Thank you everyone for supporting me, share my story and also thanks to digital media partners for sharing my story to reach many people ????????????They are also sending me a Driver to pick me up on the airport , Hyderabad.”
It may be mentioned that Prem is a big fan of mechanics who dreams to create robots that would make life easy for people who are suffering.
Therefore, despite having no degree in this field, the 21-year-old boy has made many versions of the Iron Man helmet, a mini can refrigerator robot, a replica of the Real Steel robot among many others investing about two hours a day.
