IPL 2024 schedule: Opening clash between CSK, RCB on March 22; Details Inside

The first two weeks will feature four IPL double-headers on Saturdays and Sundays.

The much-anticipated schedule for the IPL 2024 was revealed albeit partially by the BCCI on Thursday.

Defending champions Chennai Super Kings will host Royal Challengers Bangalore at Chepauk’s MA Chidambaram stadium on March 22.

This will be the ninth time that CSK will kickstart the tournament by playing the first match of the season after 2009, 2011, 2012, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023.

The first two weeks will feature four IPL double-headers on Saturdays and Sundays. All 10 franchises will get their campaign up and running in the end of the first week itself as Punjab Delhi Capitals take on Punjab Kings, followed by Kolkata Knight Riders battling Sunrisers Hyderabad in the first double-header.

The schedule for 21 matches were announced in Phase 1 (March 22 – April 7). After the CSK vs RCB blockbuster, the second game will be between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals, followed by Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad on 23rd March. Rajasthan Royals will open their season against Lucknow Super Giants while Gujarat Titans first game will be against Mumbai Indians – the second game on 24th Match.
