A delegation of the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura, an ally of the ruling BJP in Tripura met Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda on Wednesday and placed a five point charter of demands, including their separate statehood demand of Tipraland.
The IPFT team comprising of its top leaders met Arjun Munda and submitted a memorandum.
Apart from their demand of Tipraland, the IPFT delegation also spoke on their other demands like report of high-level modality committee that was constituted by the Centre last year to take stock of the socio-economic problems in Tripura, inclusion of Kok Borok language in the Eight Schedule of the Constitution and introduction of Roman Script for Kokborok and special recruitment drive in Autonomous district council areas to reduce unemployment.
Earlier on Tuesday, an IPFT delegation also met DoNER Minister Jitendra Singh and spoke on the same issues.
