IPFT delegation meets BJP national president JP Nadda in New Delhi

A four-member delegation of the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura or IPFT, BJP’s ally in Tripura, called on the saffron party’s national president JP Nadda in New Delhi on Wednesday evening.

Leaders of the IPFT, including Tripura tribal welfare minister Mevar Kumar Jamatia, met BJP national president JP Nadda at his official residence in New Delhi.
The members held discussions on issues pertaining to the high power modality committee constituted by Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to probe socio-economic, cultural and linguistic problems faced by Tripura’s tribal communities, introduction of Kokborok language on Roman Script, Special Recruitment Drive for filling up of the Backlog and current vacancies post for ST and SC, among others.
The delegation also submitted a memorandum to JP Nadda.
Other members who met the BJP national president include Assistant General secretary Mangal Debbarma, legislators Prem Kumar Reang and Dhananjay Tripura.
