Injured Myanmar national dies at JNIMS, Manipur; mob tries to storm hospital

A Myanmar national who had sustained bullet injury during cross-firing in the neighbouring country, succumbed to his injuries at JNIMS hospital in Imphal, Manipur yesterday, even as a mob tried to storm the hospital suspecting him to be a Kuki-Zo. The Myanmarese national has been identified as Khohantum of Thanan village in Myanmar. He was brought to Imphal early in the morning on Thursday by a team of Kamjong District Police along with few other patients for medical treatment at JNIMS and Shija Hospital.
