In a first since Independence, govt bus reaches Anini in Arunachal Pradesh

For the first time, bus service between Roing and Anini was flagged off on Friday as two-lane highway reached the Dibang Valley district near the Indo-Tibetan border in Arunachal Pradesh.

State Chief Minister Pema Khandu taking to Twitter informed that for the first time since 73 years of Independence, a government bus reached the border district of Arunachal Pradesh.

CM Khandu also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership as the state witnessed a sea change in road connectivity.

“Sea of change visible under PM @narendramodi Ji. First time in 73 years of India’s independence, a govt bus has reached #Anini #DibangValley near Indo-Tibet (China) border. A Roing-Anini (233km) bus service was flagged off today as 2-lane highway reaches remote border district,” he tweeted.

The 233 km long highway connects Roing with the remotely located town of Anini in the Dibang Valley district.
