Huge quantity of explosives recovered from Guwahati Railway station

As many as 4 bags containing explosives were recovered from the Guwahati Railway Station on Monday.

While three bags containing detonators and gelatin sticks were found abandoned on a platform at the station early this morning, another bag of explosives was later found inside the Awadh Assam Express.

Police found 440 pieces of gelatin sticks in 22 packets, 700 pieces of detonators in 7 packets and 3 bundles of fuse wire from the three bags found at the platform.

The bag recovered from the restroom of Awadh Assam Express contained 160 pieces of gelatin sticks in 8 packets and 500 pieces of detonators in 5 packets .

All the recovered items have been seized and a case has been registered in this matter.
