Union Home Minister Amit Shah will also meet the 9-member delegation of the Manipur People Against Citizenship Amendment Bill or MANPAC today evening in New Delhi to deliberate on the Citizenship Amendment Bill.
MANPAC during the meeting with the union home minister would urge the ministry to not implement the bill in the entire northeastern region.
It may be mentioned that on Sunday, MANPAC had earlier held a meeting with 88 consultant partners and resolved to oppose the bill if it was passed in the parliament.
It is also to be noted here that apart from the MANPAC, Shah would also be holding talks with representatives from the state of Nagaland including the Naga Students Federation on the issue of CAB.
