Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be visiting Tripura today on the occasion of the BJP-IPFT government’s completion of four years in office.

Security arrangements had been tightened across the state ahead of the visit of the Union Home Minister.

Shah will first visit the Tripurasundari temple in Gomati district to offer prayers.

He will also unveil Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Heritage Augmentation Drive scheme at the temple complex.

The Union Home Minister will also address a mega public rally at Swami Vivekananda Stadium, organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party to mark the fourth year of the BJP-IPFT government here in Tripura.

Besides, HM Shah will lay the foundation stone of the National Forensic Sciences University campus in the presence of Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and Union Minister of State for Social Empowerment and Justice Pratima Bhoumik.

According to sources, HM Shah would be meeting party functionaries at Agartala before flying back to Delhi in the afternoon.
