SKM is committed to preserving history of Tyongsi Sirijunga: Min Lok Nath Sharma

Lok Sabha MP Indrahang Subba visited the Tyongsi Sirijunga Cave and the three water falls situated in Geyzing Barmiok constituency of West Sikkim on Wednesday

Sikkim Minister Lok Nath Sharma along with Lok Sabha MP Indrahang Subba visited the Tyongsi Sirijunga Cave and the three water falls situated in Geyzing Barmiok constituency of West Sikkim on Wednesday.

According to the historical beliefs of the Limboo tribe, Tyongsi Sirijunga used to teach Limboo language and spiritual subjects in the cave. However, Tyongsi Sirijunga was assasinated in 1741 AD.

Minister Lok Nath Sharma said that the SKM government is committed to preserving the history of Tyongsi Sirijunga and aims to develop these places into Eco-Heritage Centres.

Sharma informed that tomorrow they will be celebrating 318th Birth Anniversary of Tiyonsi Sirijunga in the cave.
