Hindustan Power to Boost Assam’s Clean Energy with Rs 620 Crore Investment in Power & Battery Storage Projects

Hindustan Power has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Assam to invest Rs 620 crore in advanced power and battery energy storage projects. The agreement was signed at the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit in Guwahati that concluded recently.

The investment includes Rs 500 crore for a 100 MW solar power plant and Rs 120 crore for a 100 MW battery energy storage system. This initiative aligns with Hindustan Power’s goal of achieving a 5 GW energy portfolio within the next three years.

Hindustan Power is a leading independent power producer with a global portfolio focused on renewable and transitional energy. The latest investment is expected to enhance Assam’s clean energy infrastructure and support the state’s vision for sustainable power solutions.
