Assam Finance, Health and Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s fourth book was released in a ceremony held at Hotel Taj Vivanta in Guwahati on Wednesday.
The book titled ‘Eta Xopunor Pom Khedi’ is a compilation of 25 speeches on Assam’s contemporary socio-economic-political issues delivered at various platforms including the Assam Legislative Assembly.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, Assam Assembly Speaker Hitendranath Goswami and BJP President Ranjeet Kumar Dass were also present at the book launch ceremony.
Taking to Twitter after the book launch ceremony, Conrad Sangma praised Himanta Biswa Sarma about his wider knowledge on every issue concerning the state as well as the region.
“Elated to be a part of the launching ceremony of my dear friend, Dr. @himantabiswa’s fourth book “Eta Xopunor Pom Khedi” in Guwahati. I deem him one of North East’s greatest problem solvers of our time, an inspirational personality we look up to. My heartiest congratulations!” Sangma tweeted.

Not just as a politician, Himanta Biswa Sarma has been mesmerizing the general public for a long time with his own style. Sarma, who was able to collect the love of the people by addressing the first public meeting at the age of 10, has never looked back.
In his book, Sarma has revealed many unknown facts that can fulfill Assam’s dream of becoming one of the best states in the country.
Despite his busy lifestyle, this will be the fourth book penned by Sarma. Earlier in 2014, Sarma published his first book ‘Samagata Samay’, his other books being ‘Onyo Ek Drishtikon’ and ‘Bhinna Xomoy Abhinna Mot’.
The books have received huge appreciation from the reader community and have been bestsellers in book fairs across the state. The books have broken numerous records in terms of sales.
There is no doubt that the fourth book ‘Eta Xopunor Pom Khedi’ based on unique perspectives and fundamentals, will also bring unprecedented respect from the reader community.
