Assam Chief Minister and NEDA convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma who was in poll bound Manipur on Wednesday has reaffirmed that the BJP will seal victory and will be forming government in the state.

The BJP’s top strategist highlighted that the current Chief Minister N Biren Singh-led government in Manipur has successfully had served the people dedicatedly in the last 5 years, ensured the implementation of ILP in Manipur, and ushered a new era of development in the state.

Chief Minister Sarma further reiterated that the BJP will form government on its own, adding that he would be revisiting the state after February 15.

The closed-door meeting was held to particularly strategize for the upcoming polls and discuss in detail the various issues concerning the party.

And, Assam Chief Minister also held key meeting with his Manipur counterpart N. Biren Singh in Imphal. Top sources informed that both the leaders deliberated on BJP’s strategy for the poll battle, besides host of other key issues. The Assam chief minister’s visit assumes significance as the state is going for the 1st phase of assembly elections on February 27 followed by the second phase on March 3.
