“I humbly request United Liberation Front of Assam(I) to join the peace talks with the government,” said Assam health, finance and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Addressing the mega rally at Kokrajhar to celebrate signing of Bodo Peace Accord, minister Sarma said, “We the people from Northeast and Assam must thank prime minister Narendra Modi for his efforts to develop the region.”

Dr. Sarma also expressed his hope that the accord will bring permanent peace in Bodoland Territorial Region.
