Ahead of their wedding, Anant and Radhika’s grand pre-wedding celebrations are scheduled to be held in Jamnagar, Gujarat from March 1 to 3.

The lavish celebration and guest list is drawing a lot of attention and obviously so. But why is the event’s location Jamnagar and not any other luxurious location? Here is why

Why Jamnagar?
In a recent interview, Anant Ambani shed light on the rationale behind selecting Jamnagar as the location for their three days long pre-wedding celebrations.

He said that Jamnagar is close to his heart. Also he was inspired by PM Narendra Modi’s idea of Wed in India.

“I have spent my childhood in Jamnagar. It is a blessing that we are able to plan my pre-wedding celebrations here. This is where my grandmother, Kokilaben Ambani, was born. Our PM, Shi Narendra Modi, had said that people should get married in India; it should be a matter of great pride and happiness for us. My father oftens says that this (Jamnagar) is my grandfather, the late Dhirubhai Ambani’s in-laws place. And that’s why we chose to host our pre-wedding celebrations here. I believe I belong to Jamnagar,” Anant Ambani was quoted as saying to India Today.
