Incessant rains have also caused havoc in the other states of the Northeast. Heavy rainfall in Sikkim for the past few days has caused landslides in various parts of south and east districts of Sikkim.

Several houses have been damaged and road communication has taken a hit in the state. In fact roads have been blocked due to heavy landslides. However, no casualties have been reported so far.

Meanwhile, the  Indian Meterological Department has confirmed that heavy rainfall is likely to occur in the eastern, northern, and southern parts of the state during the next 48 hours.
