Opposition TMC leader, George B Lyngdoh has lashed out at the Government for their inaction in resolving the long-pending issue of the Harijan colony.
Speaking exclusively to Northeast Live, Lyngdoh slammed the Government for failing to relocate the residents of the Harijan colony, despite assuring them to do so in a month.
He said that the opposition will now seek answers for the delay in the upcoming budget session.

George B Lyngdoh added the issue of the Harijan colony was raked up by the ruling NPP led MDA Government right before the elections to garner sympathy votes to win the bye-elections in October last year.
The TMC leader said that the ownership of the land at the Harijan colony was signed to the Government right after the election dates were announced.
Lyngdoh however admitted that the long-pending issue has been a legacy problem right from the time of the British.
