In yet another incident of crime in Guwahati city, two bike-borne miscreants attacked a man with sharp weapons in the ABC point area on the busy GS Road on Monday night.

The person who sustained severe injuries because of the attack, has been identified as
Bhaskar Jyoti Das, Manager of the popular Starbucks coffee shop located on the GS Road.

According to sources, Das was returning home after work when he was attacked by the unidentified men and left seriously injured.

He was rushed to the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) by passersby. But he was later shifted to the Apollo hospital.

An FIR has been lodged in the Bhangarh police station.
