Guwahati Police apprehended youth with handgun, another on the run

In a recent development, the Guwahati Police apprehended a youth identified as Anirudh Chandra in possession of a .22 pistol in the Panikhaiti area of Assam.

The pistol was recovered from a scooter that was intercepted by police during a routine check. Upon frisking, the pistol was found in a hidden compartment inside the scooter. This discovery has raised concerns about illegal arms trafficking.

According to sources, another individual named Papu Bora, connected to the case, is currently on the run.

Further investigation is underway.
