First Published: 28th October, 2022 14:59 IST

We will have to defeat all forms of Naxalism - be it gun-totting or pen-wielding, we will have to find a solution for all of them."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today sent out a strong message and said that the nation needs to defeat threats arising from Naxalism, which according to him is both “Gun-totting and pen wielding.”

Besides, Prime Minister Modi also emphasized on internal security and said, “In past few years, all governments have acted responsibly to demolish ground network of terror. We need to handle it by combining our forces. We will have to defeat all forms of Naxalism – be it gun-totting or pen-wielding, we will have to find a solution for all of them.”

The Prime Minister expressed his views while addressing the 2-day Chintan Shivir organized by the Union Home Ministry at Surajkund in Haryana.

Apart from this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also mooted the idea of “One Nation, One Uniform” for the police.

“The ‘One Nation, One Uniform’ for police is just an idea. I am not trying to impose it on you. Just give it a thought. It may happen, it may happen in 5, 50, or 100 years. Just think over it,” Prime Minister Modi said.
