Grenade recovered near army camp in Tinsukia district

The grenade was recovered from the roof of a garage near the army cantonment.

In a sensational incident a grenade was recovered near Kakopathar’s Kapahtoli army camp in Doom Dooma in Tinsukia district.

The grenade was recovered from the roof of a garage near the army cantonment.

As soon as the grenade was discovered, an army team rushed to the spot and took control of the situation.

The team later dug a pit and blasted the grenade.

Earlier, on November 22, a grenade explosion was reported from the same locality in the district.
As per inputs, two motorcycle-borne person tried to lob the grenade inside the camp, but it fell outside and exploded.

Security forces have launched a massive manhunt to track down the suspected ULFA (Independent) cadres who lobbed a grenade targeting the army’s Kopahtoli Company Operating Base (COB). Army columns had fanned out in search of the militants in order to prevent them from carrying out further subversive acts.
