Glamanand Supermodel India 2024: 4 Contestants From Northeast Finishes in Top 8

Their exceptional performances marked the first time in Indian pageantry that all participants from the Northeast region advanced to the Top 8 of a national pageant.

In a historic and proud moment for Northeast India, all four contestants from the region who participated in the Glamanand Supermodel India 2024 – Miss Grand India 2024 pageant advanced to the Top 8 with their amazing perfomances.

Their exceptional performances marked the first time in Indian pageantry that all participants from the Northeast region advanced to the Top 8 of a national pageant.

The four contestants representing northeast were Irene Dkhar from Meghalaya,Rajshree Dowarah from Assam, Tanvi Marak from Meghalaya and Neiketuno Sechii from Nagaland.

The grand finale of Glamanand Supermodel India 2024 – Miss Grand India 2024 was held at Zee Studios, Jaipur on 11th Aug 2024. The finale witnessed the participation of 22 contestants from across the country.
Among the Northeast contestants, Irene Dkhar from Meghalaya was crowned Miss Tourism India and will represent India at Miss Tourism World. Rajashree Dowarah from Assam was crowned Miss Cosmo India and will go on to represent India at Miss Cosmo.

Rachel Gupta from Jalandhar was crowned Miss Grand India 2024, earning the opportunity to represent India at Miss Grand International. Shivangi Desai was crowned Miss Charm India and will be representing India at Miss Charm. Palak Kohli was declared as the 1st Runner-Up.

The success of these contestants is credited in part to the efforts of Glamanand Group, particularly Amjad Khan, Director of Operations and Marketing, who has been instrumental in promoting pageantry in the Northeast. Through state auditions and direct entries for state pageant winners, the Glamanand Group has opened doors for Northeast talent on a national stage.

The finale was judged by a prestigious panel of former Glamanand winners including CEO & Owner Glamanand Group, Nikhil Anand along with Miss Grand India 2023,Arshina Sumbul ,Miss Multinational India 2021, Divija Gambhir ,Miss Earth India 2018 , Nishi Bhardwaj, Miss Grand India 2020, Simran Sharma ,Miss Tourism India 2023,Asmita Chakraborty.

The competition featured rounds in National Costume, Swimwear, Evening Gown, and Q&A, all hosted by Glamanand Queens ,Prachi Nagpal Miss Grand India 2022 and Kaziah Liz Mezo, Miss Teen International India 2024.

It is to be mentioned that Glamanand Group are also the owners of Miss Universe India, which will be held next month where we will witness candidates from each of the states from India competing for the coveted title of Miss Universe India.
