A group of Haryana women farmers met the Gandhi family at a luncheon hosted by former Congress President Sonia Gandhi for them at her residence, a promise made by Rahul Gandhi during his recent visit to their fields, and expressed a concern regarding her son.
The Congress leader, his sister and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi and their mother, Sonia Gandhi, had fun banter with the women farmers.
Taking to Twitter Rahul Gandhi shared a glimpse of the light-hearted chat in which one of the women farmers asked Sonia Gandhi about the marriage of her son.
To this Sonia Gandhi replied, “You find a girl”.
To this amusing conversation, Rahul Gandhi said, “It will happen.”
In the video, Priyanka Gandhi shared her childhood memories as to how she would get scolded for Rahul Gandhi’s mischiefs.
“He looks sweet, right? He is the naughtiest. And I would get scolded,” Priyanka can be heard saying in the video.
The video ends with Priyanka Gandhi dancing with the farmers.
Rahul Gandhi during his last visit to the Haryana fields, had promised some women farmers that he would invite them over to his mother’s house, 10, Janpath. Fulfilling his promise, the Congress leader invited some women farmers over for lunch and spent time with them.
During the conversation over lunch, the women spoke about their ordeal owing to skyrocketing prices of daily necessities like fertilisers, gas cylinders, electricity and diesel, onions and tomatoes among other things.
