Football Loving Manipur to Get World-Class Stadium Soon, CM Biren Singh Discusses with Kiren Rijiju in New Delhi

Manipur Chief Minister, along with PWD Minister Govindas Konthoujam and officials, discussed key development projects, including a proposal for a world-class football stadium to boost local talent.

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh met Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, in New Delhi and discussed key development projects under the Ministry of Minority Affairs in Manipur. They also discussed setting up a world-class football stadium in the state.

Taking to X, the CM wrote, “Called on Shri Kiren Rijiju Ji, Hon’ble Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, along with our Hon’ble Minister of Public Works Department, Youth Affairs & Sports, Shri Govindas Konthoujam, and other officials in New Delhi. We discussed advancing major development projects in the state under the purview of the Ministry of Minority Affairs. In addition, we deliberated on developing a world-class football stadium in Manipur to nurture talent and uplift sportspersons.”

One of the main topics discussed was the proposal to develop a world-class football stadium in Manipur. The Chief Minister emphasized that such a facility would play a crucial role in nurturing local football talent and elevating the state’s sportspersons to new heights. This initiative aligns with the state government’s commitment to promoting sports and providing world-class infrastructure for athletes.
