The 57th edition of the Femina Miss India has declared the state-wise winners of the gala event. The winners will represent their respective states in the main event.
The grand finale of the Femina Miss India 2020 event is scheduled for February 2021.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, for the first time in the history of the beauty pageant, the entire process of the contest will be held digitally. The contest will take place in four phases, three of which will be online.
In the third phase, from 31 finalists, the top 15 will be selected for the beauty pageant which is scheduled to take place in Mumbai.
Here are the list of finalists from the Northeast:
Amrita Kashyap bagged the Femina Miss India Assam 2020 title and will represent Assam in Femina Miss India 2020 event.
Kashyap is a final year student of Zoology in Guwahati.
She began her career at the age of 16, in DY Calendar girl, where she was among the top 10 finalists. Kashyap also won the title of Best Walk in Winter Runway, 2020.
Tanvi Raksam Marak bagged the Miss India Meghalaya 2020 title and will represent Meghalaya in the event.
Hailing from the Scotland of the East, Shillong, she studied in a convent school, where she took up science and appeared for medical entrance exams.
On being questioned about either choosing only medical or the glamour world, she decided to choose both.
Maria Chanu Pangambam from Manipur bagged the Miss India Manipur 2020 title and will represent Manipur in the Miss India event.
Maria was very recently awarded the second position in Bachelor of Biochemistry at Manipur University.
She is very much into the preservation of ethnic handloom and handicraft and has started her own business.
Zuchobeni Tungoe bagged the Miss India Nagaland 2020 title and will represent Nagaland in the mega event.
Tungoe, a student and a singer has won multiple laurels in the field of singing and has established a name for herself.
After discontinuing engineering in Bangalore, she pursued her studies in Mass Media from Mumbai and is currently doing her Bachelor’s in the field.
Lalmuansangi Varte will represent Mizoram in the Miss India event. She bagged the Miss India Mizoram 2020 title.
Born in Champhai, Varte is a trainee teacher and is pursuing B.Ed under Mizoram University. She also has a Master’s degree in English Literature.
She won the 2nd Runner up title in Miss Mizoram 2020 and has been selected to represent the State at the pageant.
Millo Meena bagged the Miss India Arunachal Pradesh 2020 title and will represent Arunachal in the event.
Growing up in the mesmerizing Ziro Valley, she grew up with a dream of creating her own world.
From being a shy, introverted person to becoming a public person, it really amazes her how one right decision in life can change everything.
Chayanika Debnath is set to represent Tripura in the Miss India event. She bagged the Miss India Tripura 2020 title.
From acing academics to co-curricular activities in school and college to believing in her dreams, she chose to follow her passion of acting rather than being a doctor.
In 2016, she was diagnosed with tuberculosis. But soon she sprung back to life with sheer willpower.
Reetika Chettri bagged the Miss India Sikkim 2020 title and will represent Sikkim in the Femina Miss India event.
Reetika currently attending college was born in the small town of Namchi.
One of her biggest achievements was winning the Miss Sikkim title in the year 2019.
