Drugs worth over Rs 390 crore seized in Mizoram, 1 held

A joint team of Assam Rifles and Customs Department seized 39.04 lakh tablets of illegal Triprolidine HCL and Pseudoephedrine HCL from Mizoram's Champhai district
In a massive drug haul, huge quantities of drugs valued at more than Rs 390.4 crore were seized in Mizoram’s Champhai district on Wednesday.
A joint team of Assam Rifles and Customs Department seized 39,04,000 tablets of illegal Triprolidine HCL and Pseudoephedrine HCL from Mizoram’s Champhai district. One smuggler has been arrested in connection with the seizure.
As per the inputs, the consignment was being sent to Myanmar from Aizawl for the preparation of Methamphetamine tablets which were likely to get smuggled back to India, officials said.
The seized consignment and apprehended individual were handed over to the Customs Department, Champhai for further legal proceedings.
