In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, a team of Bishnupur commandos seized 578 grams of suspected heroin at Kwakta in Manipur’s Bishnupur district.
According to reports, the police team conducted frisking and checking at Kwakta Lamkhai after getting specific inputs regarding the transportation of contraband drugs from Churachandpur to Kwakta along the Tidim road.

Police have also apprehended one person in connection with the case. The arrested person has been identified as Munan Khan. The contraband items were found concealed in 49 soap cases.
The man, along with the seized drugs, has been handed over to Moirang police station for further legal action.
