The President of India Droupadi Murmu is all set to embark on a four-day visit to Nagaland, Mizoram, and Sikkim starting today.
Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, Shanavas C informed that the Nagaland govt has planned a civic reception at the State Cultural Hall today to welcome the President and it will be followed by an evening of Cultural night, at the State banquet hall where various artists from the state will be performing.
On the second day, the President will visit the historic World War II cemetery and Kigwema Village where stalls have been set up by the Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission.

The President will also interact with the Self Help Groups.
DC Shanavas also informed that all security arrangements have been put in place for the President’s visit and Covid protocols will have been put in place.
Besides Administrative Heads of Departments and Heads of Departments, the government has also extended invitations to 22 tribal bodies to attend the civic reception.
The president is slated to leave for Mizoram later in the day.
