Dimapur Police Issue “Wanted” Notice for NSCN-K (Niki) Leader and Accomplice in Abduction Case

Dimapur Police have announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for information leading to the arrest of an NSCN-K (Niki) leader and his accomplice.

Dimapur Police have issued a “Wanted” notice for two individuals, including a Kilonser of the NSCN-K (Niki) faction, in connection with the abduction of two persons on October 10. The Office of the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, has offered a reward of Rs 50,000 for anyone providing information leading to the arrest of the suspects.

The notice, released by Commissioner of Police Kevithuto Sophie, identified the first suspect as 50-year-old Khevini T Yepthomi, a Kilonser under the NSCN-K (Niki), currently residing in Padumphukhuri, Dimapur. The second accused was named as ‘Ilhovi @ Kimeyeto,’ designated as Yepthomi’s accomplice.

Both individuals are wanted in connection with Dimapur East Police Station Case No. 173/24 under Sections 140 (2), 140 (3), and 3 (5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. These sections pertain to kidnapping or abduction with intent to murder or demand ransom.

The police assured that the identity of any informer will remain confidential.

This notification follows the abduction of two Naga entrepreneurs by members of NSCN-K (Niki) on October 10. The victims were later released the same day, and an FIR was lodged at the Dimapur East Police Station. Authorities are seeking public assistance in tracking down the suspects.
