DG BSF Daljit Singh Chawdhary Visits Manipur, Reviews Force Preparedness Amid Simmering Tension

In light of the recent escalation of violence in Manipur, Daljit Singh Chawdhary, Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF), visited the state to assess the security situation and review the operational readiness of the force.

Soon after arriving at the Imphal Airport, DG Chawdhary proceeded to Moreh, a sensitive border town, where he interacted with BSF commanders and troops, commending their efforts in maintaining peace. The DG also visited the Integrated Check Post (ICP) in Moreh.

Later, the DG BSF held a Sainik Sammelan at the BSF CI (Ops) headquarters in Manipur, where he addressed the officers and jawans, praising their dedication and urging them to continue their duties with professionalism and resilience.

During his visit, Chawdhary met Director General of Police Rajiv Singh, Chief Secretary Vineet Joshi and other senior officials from different agencies to discuss the current security situation in the state.

The visit comes as Manipur faces a challenging time, with security forces playing a key role in maintaining order amidst ongoing violence.
