A total of 7 shops were burnt to ashes in a devastating fire at Tripura’s capital Agartala. Local people discovered fire engulfing a shop at Kalyani area of the city
A total of 7 shops were burnt to ashes in a devastating fire at Tripura’s capital Agartala.
Local people discovered fire engulfing a shop at Kalyani area of the city on Thursday evening. The fire department was informed as the local people tried to douse the fire themselves.
Three fire fighting vans immediately arrived at the spot and took control of the fire. Local residents suspect an electrical short circuit to be the reason behind the fire.
It is being estimated that a total of around Rs 20 lakh worth of properties and goods were damaged in the fire. The actual cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
