Daylight Robbery in Assam: Bike-borne men snatch bag with Rs. 34 lakh, police launch manhunt

Kokrajhar police is actively investigating the incident.

A sensational case of daylight robbery has come to fore from Assam, wherein two motorcycle-borne persons snatched a bag containing Rs 34 lakh from a LIC employee in Kokrajhar.

The robbery took place right in the heart of Kokrajhar town, in front of Axis Bank.

As per inputs, the incident occurred when the LIC employee had gone to deposit cash at the Axis Bank bank when the suspects snatched the bag and fled.

Witnesses reported that two individuals wearing helmets arrived on a motorcycle and swiftly grabbed the cash.

Both LIC Kokrajhar branch and Axis Bank have acknowledged their responsibility in ensuring the security of the transferred funds.

Currently, Kokrajhar police is actively investigating the incident.
