A crucial meeting of the North East Students Organisation will take place in Guwahati on Froday to deliberate on the future course of action on the issue of Citizenship Amendment Bill.
While, the AASU has already announced a vigorous agitation today’s NESO meet assumes significance as an action plan may be drawn as far as protests across region is concerned.
It may be mentioned that opposition to the Centre’s CAB push has intensified after stakeholders from the Northeast met Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Groups particularly students organisations including the All Assam Students Union, Khasi Students Union are up in arms after the Centre gave its nod to the contentious Bill to be tabled in Parliament.
