Meghalaya TMC leader and former Chief Minister Mukul Sangma has slammed the state government over the recent let up in COVID restrictions across the state.

Addressing the media, Mukul Sangma trained guns at the MDA government and accused it of adopting a copy and paste strategy as far as COVID-related decisions are concerned.

Sangma said that the ruling dispensation does not have the time or patience to do hard work or understand the gravity of the situation.

Hinting at the fact that Meghalaya decided to ease COVID curbs just a few days after Assam decided to do the same, the former CM said that the government is merely adopting a copy-and-paste strategy without having an in-depth understanding of the prevailing situation.

Calling out the Conrad Sangma-led government over its alleged mismanagement of the COVID situation, Mukul Sangma further said that last year too, the state government had decided to implement COVID restrictions in the state only after people had already returned home for Christmas and New Year holidays.
