The number of COVID-19 positive cases in Assam continued its upward trend on Monday, crossing the 500-mark.

With 48 new people testing coronavirus positive, the total positive cases in the state has surged to 514.

Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma taking to Twitter informed, “48 new cases of #COVID19+. 16 Karimganj, 8 Lakhimpur, 8 Ghy Qrnt, 5 Cachar, 4 Hailakandi, 3 South Salmara, 2 Nalbari, 1 each Morigaon / Goalpara.”

(Total cases 514, Recovered 62, Active cases 445, Deaths 04, Migrated 03)
On Monday, five patients have been discharged – 3 from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital and 2 from Jorhat Medical College and Hospital after testing negative twice.
With the discharged patients, the number of recovered has increased to 62. Currently, there are 445 active cases in the State.
