Countdown to Celebrations: Hornbill Festival Marks 25 Years with Global Partnerships and Star-Studded Performances

The Government of Nagaland has announced Peru, Wales, USA and Japan to be the country partners for the festival.
Countdown for the 25th edition of Hornbill Festival “Festival of festivals” has begun.
To celebrate the 25 glorious years of the festival, the Government of Nagaland has announced Peru, Wales, USA and Japan to be the country partners for the festival.
The 4 country participation will span various domains, including cultural performances, capacity-building and workshops in handicrafts and bamboo products.
Key musical artists like Ricardo Delgado & Estampas Del Peru from Peru, Yosuke Irie & Drum Tao from Japan, Mari Marthia from Wales will be performing during the festival.
Artists like Parikrama, Indus Creed, Girish and the Chronicles etc will also be performing.
Mention is also to be made that for the first time a Log Drum pulling ceremony by the youngest tribe of Nagaland “Tikhir” will take place on the 3rd day of the festival.
The grand opening ceremony of the festival will take place on 1st December in the evening.
Hornbill festival has always resonated the unity and the core ideals of Nagas that stands as one.
