Amidst the coronavirus scare, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has cancelled several trains in the region from March 20 to March 31. Among the cancelled trains are Guwahati-Dibrugarh Express, Shatabdi

Amidst the coronavirus scare, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has cancelled several trains in the region from March 20 to March 31.

Among the cancelled trains are Guwahati-Dibrugarh Express, Shatabdi Express, Naharlagun-Rangiya-Guwahati express and Murkongselek-Dibrugarh Passenger express among others.

The railways have also seen a 60 percent reduction in the bookings for trains with long duration journeys.

The NF Railways are also taking precautionary measures on their part. Isolation wards have been created to keep suspected cases of coronavirus.

As per reports, the railways have prepared 1,122 isolation wards to keep suspected coronavirus cases for medical scrutiny.
