Two time Congress MLA Rajdeep Gowala will be joining the BJP in a day or two. This was revealed by top BJP leader from Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma.

It was only on Thursday that Sarma gave a clear hint that a prominent Congress MLA will join the BJP soon.

Sarma had also indicated that few other Congress MLAs are also considering to join the BJP. However, Sarma maintained that these developments have nothing to do with the Rajya Sabha elections.

Meanwhile, despite the developments, Assam Congress President Ripun Bora has exuded confidence that none of his MLAs are mulling to jump ship to BJP.
