CM Sarma lauds Pramod Bodo led BTC govt for ushering peace & development in Bodoland

The Pramod Boro-led Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) has completed one year in office. To mark the occasion a special event was held in Kokrajhar which was attended by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma where he launched several key projects and made new announcements. Chief Minister Sarma taking forward the development push, inaugurated the newly built IT Park at Chandmari in Kokrajhar to promote IT and help IT start-ups.

 Marking one year in office of the Pramod Boro-led Council, Chief Minister Sarma launched the Bodoland Textile Mission and Bodoland Milk Mission. Besides, Chief Himanta Biswa Sarma also shared updates in medical colleges at Kokrajhar and Tamulpur, the new Bodoland University campus, 2 new Model Colleges in BTR and conversion of Kokrajhar College into a university.

The Assam Chief Minister congratulated BTR CEM Pramod Boro and his colleagues for ushering immense development of the region and working towards fulfilling people’s aspirations for peace and stability. Sarma said that peace and progress have gained momentum in the Bodo Territorial Region.

Talking to newspersons, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that efforts are being made to rehabilitate cadres of the disbanded NDFB and withdrawal of cases against them. Sarma reiterated that the government is committed to implementing the historic BTR Accord in letter and spirit.
