As part of the State Disaster Response Mitigation Fund, the Centre has released a sum of Rs 25 crore as first installment to the government of Sikkim to combat the Coronavirus crisis.
This was confirmed in a release issued by the Finance Commission Division, Government of India earlier today.
It may be mentioned here that Sikkim is one of the few Indian states not to have reported a single positive case of COVID-19 so far.
