Captain of Sikkim Senior Men’s Cricket team to play for UK’s Barnoldswick Cricket Club

In a big boost to sports in Sikkim, captain of Sikkim’s Men’s Cricket team Nilesh Lamichaney is set to play for United Kingdom’s Barnoldswick Cricket Club.

Born in 1991 the talented batter made his List-A debut for Sikkim in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

His talent soon became obvious and he became the first Sikkimese cricketer to hit a century for his home state when he scored 123 against Arunachal Pradesh.

Lamichaney is a right-handed batter and also bowls leg spin. Lamichaney is set to join fellow Indian Tanay Sanghavi in Barnoldswick.
