The Budget Session of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly is to be held from 4th to 17th March.

As informed by the Commissioner and Secretary of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, the session will have 10 working days with seven days for government business and three days for private members’ business.

State Governor Satya Pal Malik will deliver his address to the House on the first day of the session.

After replying to the Governor’s address, Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, who also holds the Finance portfolio, will present the budget estimates for the State for the 2021–2022 fiscal year on March 9th, after replying to the Governor’s address.

Meanwhile, the opposition All India Trinamool Congress is likely to raise pressing issues and concerns in the Assembly.
