A class ten student was injured after he was brutally assaulted allegedly by a teacher of the Jawahar navodaya vidyalaya at Kharenguri in the northern district of Tripura.
It is being alleged that the student was assaulted at the hostel after he went to extend birthday greetings to one of the boarders in the hostel at around 11 PM on Monday.
The student was reportedly caught in a surprise attack by Joy Singh Meena. However, when parents of the victim went to file a complaint with the school authorities, principal Rajendra Prasad Meena feigned ignorance about the matter.
Disappointed with this the victim’s parents filed a complaint with the Churaibari police against the accused teacher Joy Singh Meena.
